Announces 1975 North American Fall Tour

1975 announced their fall tour “Still… At Their Very Best,” the group’s biggest North American tour to date. Led by Matty Healy, the band will release their fifth album “Being Funny in a Foreign Language” in the US and Canada for the second time since its October 2022 release.

The tour will begin in September. 26 ends in Sacramento, California, and on December 2 in Seattle.

The group made fun of the tour on social media throughout the month, posting vague images and linking to an online registration form.

The previous 1975 “At Its Best” tour began in the US in October 2022 and then toured the UK, Latin America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The show featured an intricately decorated life-size house for one set, two different acts, and a narrative interlude.

“The album felt like you were watching something, like you were witnessing something,” said lead singer Matty Healy, who wrote the show and served as its creative director. said Variation in December. “And that was the idea on the show. We wanted it to be as experiential as the album.”

The tour evolved over the course of its first North American run, from altered set lists to surprise guest cameos by Phoebe Bridgers and the Bleachers. Healy made headlines for performing and passionately kissing fans during “Robbers.”

Variation praised the band’s last performance at Madison Square Gardendescribes the concert as “a fascinating statement from a band that embraces almost every pop trope but demands to be taken seriously.” The band will return to the famous New York City venue on November 14.

The fan pre-sale begins on June 21 at 10:00 am local time, while public tickets will go on sale on June 23 at 10:00 am on the 1975’s. Web site.
