paramore‘S Hayley Williams On July 11, the Texas-born singer took a break from the band’s regular playlist to channel Sasha Fierce, who performed Beyoncé’s “I Miss You” in her hometown of Houston.

While most of the song was performed a cappella by Williams, the rest of the band took the back seat. Inside caught by the fan videos stand out as Williams’ silhouette is surrounded by dim red light. He can be heard shouting from the bridge: “It’s such a simple feeling but everything / No matter who you love, it’s a very simple feeling but everything.”

The song is a slightly deep cut from Beyoncé’s fourth studio album “4” from 2011, which includes mega hits such as “Who Run the World (Girls),” “Count Down”, “Love on Top” and “Dance for You”. “I Miss You” was penned by Frank Ocean and marked her and Beyoncé’s first collaboration as artists. They joined forces again on the song “Superpower” from their self-titled album and “Pink & White” from Ocean’s album “Blond”. Like Williams, Ocean has made his own interpretation of the song during his rare live performances.

After completing the cover, Williams transitioned from “Petals for Armor” to “Crystal Clear”, her first solo studio album.

Tuesday night’s concert in Houston was part of Paramore’s ongoing “This Is Why” tour following the 2023 release of the band’s long-awaited album, “This Is Why.” Only business.

Last month, Williams brought the rapper lil uzi ver On the stage where she shares the “Misery Business” choir. The group will also join Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” for its UK and European leg in 2024 and will also be featured on Swift’s latest album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”.
