“Shred With Shifty,” produced by Double Elvis, will see Shiflett ask his guitar-playing guests about their musical background and inspiration. With both Shiflett and guest hooked up to the amp, music is at the center of every conversation. In an upcoming interview with Cuomo, Shiflett asks the Weezer frontman to show the layered guitar parts of “Only in Dreams.” Full video episodes will only be available on Volume.com, while audio versions will be available on all major podcast platforms.
“I love the guitar and especially love it lead the way guitar (not to mention everything related to main guitar playing: amps, pedals, stories about recording, and guitars of course), ”said Shiflett. “My new show ‘Shred With Shifty’ was born out of the fact that I spent a lot of time watching people explaining guitar parts online. almost right, so I thought, what if I went to the source and found out what my favorite players are? Actually In my favorite solos? I’ve completed about two-thirds of completing interviews for this first season, and the cast is insane, plus I have a big new bag of hot licks to learn. Working to start this show reminded me of why I bought a guitar in the first place – because it’s really fun.
