Ed Sheeran Announces Theater Concerts to Match Stadium Tour

Ed Sheeran It has announced details for the “-Tour” (pronounced “Removal Tour”), a special history series that will take place in theaters and auditoriums in 14 cities across North America. Mostly sponsored by singer-songwriter Ben Kweller, the shows will take place between dates in their own history. Sheeran uses Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan technology for theatrical dates. Registration opens at 10:00 ET on Friday, April 28 and closes at 11:59 PM ET on Sunday, April 30. The Verified Fan sale will begin Tuesday, May 2 at 10am local time.

The newly announced tour supports Sheeran’s new album “-”, which will be released on May 5 via Atlantic Records. According to the announcement, “Written against a backdrop of grief and hope, Ed wrote and recorded the fourteen-track record with Aaron Dessner (from The National) in February last year after a series of drastic events that affected his life.”

Coinciding with the “-“, the brand new four-part documentary “Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All” will begin airing on Disney+ from May 3rd.
