Go-Go’s Charlotte Caffey Sells Catalog to Seeker Music

Seeker Music purchased the masters and publishing catalog from Charlotte Caffey, lead guitarist and primary songwriter of the all-female lead band and Go-Go, members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Caffey co-wrote some of the band’s biggest hits and was the sole lyricist for their signature song “We Got the Beat.” The song has become the group’s most successful and most covered track since its release in 1981. He was also involved in the writing of the band’s hits “Head Over Heels”, “Vacation”, “How Much More” and “Turn to You”.

Beyond her work with The Go-Go’s, Caffey has also written songs performed by artists such as Keith Urban (the country hit “But for the Grace of God”) and Go-Go bandmate Belinda Carlisle. TV space where he wrote several theme songs, including the “Clueless” TV series.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Seeker’s catalog includes the full works of Christopher Cross, the first three albums of Run the Jewels, in addition to songs by Caffey, top modern songwriters Jon Belllion, John Ryan, Mozella, Teddy Geiger via the Bunettas’ Family Affair and includes others.
