Issa Rae’s Raedio Signs Partnership with Def Jam


radio“audio everywhere” section Jesus Rae‘S Long Live the Mediaannounced a multi-year deal with Def Jam Recordings. According to the announcement, the partnership will give Raedio the opportunity to sign, market and distribute signed artists through Def Jam’s network. Publishing includes music control, music library, podcasts, digital content, and events sections.

The announcement states that “Hoorae Media’s symbiotic pipeline to the ecosystem of film, television production and talent management divisions provides a unique all-in-one infrastructure that paves the way for a new, disruptive approach to music company models.”

Raedio entered into a multi-project development agreement with Audible to create original content in January of last year. The company’s previous record label partner was Atlantic Records, with a deal announced in October 2019.
