Morello’s Comandante Productions and Asylum aims to create a portfolio of documentary films and series that explore Morello’s history in the music industry, social awareness and commitment to activism.
Morello is, of course, best known for his work with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, two bands that have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. He’s also a Grammy-winning artist and a recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee (as part of this year’s class of honor).
“I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to combine revolutionary art with revolutionary ideas, to create pits for the mind, heart and soul,” Morello said in a statement. “[I am] I am very excited to partner with Asylum to bring some surprising stories to light.”
News of their partnership comes after Asylum recently signed an additional first look deal with the New York Post. struggle recently made an investment Asylum Entertainment GroupContent Group hosts a series of production posters focusing on unscripted TV series, including Texas Crew Productions, Big City TV, Breaklight Pictures, and Audity.
